KONGRE BAŞKANI’NIN MESAJI

Event Invitation

Message from the Congress Presidents

Dear Scientists, Healthcare Professionals, and Esteemed Participants,

We are pleased to announce that the 11th Congress of Muslim Health Communities will be held in person on 17–20 December 2026 at the Gülhane Campus of the University of Health Sciences in Ankara, under the main theme "Health Management in Disasters."

Today, disasters are not merely events requiring emergency response; they are multidimensional crises that challenge the resilience of health systems, governance capacity, social equity, and international cooperation.

At this year’s congress, disaster policy and governance will serve as a primary scientific focus. We aim to examine—from an international perspective—the disaster experiences of Muslim communities across diverse regions, shared vulnerabilities, and critical lessons learned for health systems.

Disaster medicine, disaster nursing, multidisciplinary disaster management, humanitarian crises, public and mental health, vulnerable populations, logistics, digital health, rehabilitation, as well as culture- and faith-based approaches will constitute the core pillars of the congress.

By bringing together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, public institutions, and civil society representatives from across disciplines on the same scientific platform, we aim to bridge the gap between evidence, policy, and practice.

We cordially invite you to contribute your scientific research, field experiences, and perspectives to WIHU'26, and we look forward to welcoming you to an inspiring and productive congress.

Sincerely,

CONGRESS PRESIDENTS

Prof. Dr. Mevlüt KARATAŞ
